Dr. Yael Gold
Naming the Invisible Legacy: Intergenerational Healing and the Journey Toward Expanded Consciousness

Dr. Yael Gold is a licensed psychologist who has worked in the field of psychotherapy for over thirty years, and has been practicing in Wilmington, NC since 1994. She has extensive training and experience in helping people deal with the broad range of concerns that present across the life span. Additionally, over the past two-and-a-half decades she has developed expertise in helping individuals heal from traumatic experiences and is a certified EMDRIA practitioner.
Dr. Gold states, “I spent much of my career honing my skills as a trauma therapist before allowing myself to become fully aware of the trauma that I too have experienced as a second-generation Holocaust survivor.” This realization led her on a quest for deep-level soul healing which has included Jungian dream analysis, a search into her own lineage, and a recent months-long course in ancestral medicine studies.
Additionally, Dr. Gold runs and manages her Wilmington, NC-based group practice, Integrated Therapy Associates, Inc. Prior to private practice Dr. Gold provided clinical services in university settings including the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
While employed at UNCW she assisted with the inception of two annual art exhibits, which featured works created by survivors of sexual abuse. She subsequently spearheaded and organized two women’s conferences at the university, “Many Women, Many Stories” and “Whole Woman, New Millennium.” She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Illinois.
